Children's imagination is thus greatly stimulated. Moreover, the game makes it easy to create conversation material for philosophical discussions. Fun for home, school and day-care.
By the way, it is not only fun, but also educational.
Stimulates the imagination
A lot of research shows that imagination is an important part of children's development. Playing is obviously a lot of fun if you have a lot of imagination, but in addition, imagination contributes to the development of emotional control, creativity, social skills, empathy and critical thinking.
By letting children play Guess Dice, you stimulate their imagination in many ways. For example, you can use the game for acting, poetry, storytelling, movement games, inventions and much more.
Good for language development
You can't think without language. So children's language development is very important, perhaps the most important thing there is. Language should therefore be offered in as many ways as possible. Not just per language element in grammar and spelling lessons at school, but also in ways that make language as a whole pass by. This can be done, for instance, by playing with language. The game creates a context and that increases language understanding. The great thing is that the children do not realise they are learning.
It gets children philosophising
Besides language games and creative activities, you can use Thinking Dice as a conversation starter. Then you create conversational material with the game to stimulate oral language skills. This way, you can use the game to philosophise in several ways, as well as have other conversations.
You can find the exercises and games you can do by Thinking Dice on the site of the same name. It also explains how to use the game as an unwrapping game for Boxing Day.
